  • 1:1

Aka. Square is the most basic aspect ratio for other social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram. It is best suited if you plan to reuse the video on these mentioned platforms. The recommended size is 1080 x 1080 px.

Vertical Aspect Ratio
  • 9:16

If you want to catch the smartphone user segment, this aspect ratio works best on mobile devices. But when displayed on desktop, there will be two big rectangles on both sides to cover the rest.

  • Extended Aspect Ratios

Some mobile devices today have exceeded the 16:9 into the realm of 17.5:9, 18:9, or up to 21:9. You can customise your video sizes to suit each device the users watch your videos. An iPhone 12 has a 19.5:9 ratio, while Samsung Galaxy S21 has a 20:9, for instance. To turn it into a horizontal video, just flip the numbers, and you are good to go.
